Robinson Club Maldives
Funamadua

Robinson Club Maldives is an adult-only, all-inclusive resort offering an upscale, relaxing experience in a remote part of the Maldives. The property occupies its own private island and features 121 beach bungalows and overwater villas with living areas and terraces. Most have big outdoor bathrooms with separate soaking tubs, while others come with private infinity pools offering panoramic sea views. Food gets excellent reviews from guests, and Sundowner Bar is a favorite for afternoon drinks on bean bags placed along the sand. Surrounded by greenery and a big wooden deck offering sea views, the pool is another property highlight. This is a great all-inclusive pick for couples, but bear in mind that getting there requires a 70-minute flight and a half-hour speedboat ride from Male. For true luxury at a competitive price, consider The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi Maldives.

Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa
20097

Set on a gorgeous private island a 25-minute speedboat ride from Malé airport, the 96-room, luxury Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa offers a phenomenal tropical getaway. The collection of thatched villas and bungalows – including over-water bungalows – resembles a charming Maldivian village. Spaces are chic and each unit includes a private pool, plus luxe bathrooms with soaking tubs and separate showers, as well as lovely outdoor showers. Two stunning outdoor pools have beautiful sea views, while four restaurants provide ample dining choices and free breakfasts. Be aware that all-inclusive rates are not available here. Top-notch wellness features include a well-equipped gym, free daily yoga classes, and a top-notch spa that’s reached via traditional Maldivian boat. There’s a kids’ club too, plus a marine discovery center, plenty of water sports, and a diving center. It’s worth comparing rates with Gili Lankanfushi, which is often considered to be the best luxury resort in the Maldives.

Kuredu Island Resort & Spa
Kuredu Island Resort & Spa, 20187

Stretching just over a mile in length, Kuredu is one of the largest resort islands in the Maldives. It’s loaded with restaurants and bars (14 in total) and has plenty of space for large amenities like a soccer field, golf course, two spas, and three pools. However, Kuredu isn’t as intimate as some smaller resorts, and it’s a pricey, 45-minute flight from Male. Still, affordable rooms, activities such as snorkeling and diving, and impressive food make Kuredu an outstanding overall value. Travelers will be hard-pressed to find a better upscale resort -- especially one offering all-inclusive packages that include alcohol -- at these rates. For a smaller, more luxurious all-inclusive option, consider Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa.

Constance Moofushi
00200

The five-pearl experience of Constance Moofushi all-inclusive resort starts with one of the best private airport lounges around, establishing a luxe vibe before guests even board the seaplane in Male to reach the small, private island. Ideal for diving enthusiasts with money to spare, this chic -- but still comfortably casual -- resort is within 30 minutes of oodles of the world's best dive spots and has an excellent house reef. The 110 rustic-chic rooms are sophisticated, artistic, and well-equipped with premium minibars, top-notch entertainment systems, and stunning sea views -- some are even directly over the water. Along with an idyllic beach, a stay here comes with snorkeling and water sports, high-quality food and drink, and lounging by the pool.

Komandoo Maldives Island Resort
20187

Popular among European couples, this adult-only resort is small, romantic, and a great value for the Maldives. Highlights include a beachfront infinity pool, nice on-site reef, excellent food, and plenty of free perks. Komandoo’s biggest drawback is its location (a 45-minute flight from Male Airport), which occasionally translates into long layovers; however, it’s significantly less expensive than competing resorts near Male.
