Take a look at the best beach hotels in Playa del Ingles.

Santa Monica Suites Hotel

Paseo Costa Canaria 116, Playa del Ingles, Spain

The four-pearl, 2016-opened Santa Monica Suites is a smart and minimalist hotel with stunning views of the Maspalomas sand dunes, which are a two-minute walk away. Slightly farther at five minutes is the promenade, home to several bars and restaurants. The182 rooms are bright, style, and tranquil, featuring sunken seating areas and furnished terraces -- many with views over the dunes and ocean. Features include a spa with views of the dunes, pool with huge terrace and adjacent a la carte eatery, and well-reviewed buffet restaurant. The free Wi-Fi, however, can be finicky, and there are no in-room kettles. Guests looking for a smaller, more secluded hotel, might want to try the nearby Gold by Marina, although it's adult-only.

Hotel Parque Tropical

Avenida de Italia, 1, Playa del Ingles, Spain

The 235-room Parque Tropical is a charming upper-middle-range hotel a bit removed from the hustle and bustle of central Playa del Ingles, though directly on the promenade. Traditional rooms are larger-than-average for the area, and feature free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and mini-fridges, plus some have balconies with panoramic ocean views. The restaurant serves excellent buffet meals for breakfast and dinner, and lunch is served at the poolside grill, which gets similarly great reviews. The pool is large and quiet, with enough loungers for all guests and palm trees and umbrellas for shade. Kid-friendly amenities include a playground, mini-golf, and giant chess, but the hotel is better suited for couples than for families. Those traveling with children may want to compare rates at Occidental Margaritas.

Corallium Dunamar By Lopesan Hotels

Calle Helsinki 8, Playa del Ingles, Spain

With direct access to Playa del Ingles' main beach, the 273-room IFA Dunamar Hotel is a large two-and-a-half-pearl all-inclusive option with one of the best locations in town. Decor is dated throughout the hotel, though it has attractive pools, numerous bars, and tranquil stone terraces that offer plenty of semi-private sunbathing spots. Rooms are clean, but spartan, and have air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and mini-fridges. Almost all have either terraces or balconies -- some with gorgeous sea views -- but in-room Wi-Fi and satellite channels aren't free. There's also a large buffet restaurant and nudist sunbathing terrace, though you'll hear a bit of noise in most outdoor areas throughout the day and kid-friendly features are few. Alternatively, it's also worth considering Escorial, which provides free spa access, free parking, and free Wi-Fi.

Corona Roja

Calle el Pez 6, Playa del Ingles, Spain

The 200-room budget Corona Roja is a 15-story tower in Playa del Ingles made up of studios and one- and two-bedroom apartments with balconies and great ocean views. The Corona Roja is older, with basic decor, but the location, near beach and town, makes it an ideal spot for tourists who want a sunny holiday for a low price. Most of the limited amenities cost extra (although there are some all-inclusive options), and there is little programmed entertainment. Rooms are seriously dated, with tube TVs (that often cost extra) and teeny-tiny showers, but property perks include three pools and a lovely roof garden.

Beverly Park Hotel

Hamburgo 10, Playa del Ingles, Spain

The 469-room Beverly Park Hotel is a mid-range, '70s-era property set just off a busy highway on the eastern edge of Playa del Ingles resort. Interiors and furnishings are quite dated, particularly in the guest rooms -- which include green carpets, tube TVs, and patterned comforters. However, a long sandy beach is just a minute away on foot, plus the hotel's five pools and child-friendly facilities are a highlight. Other features include an adequate spa, sports facilities, and a buffet restaurant with an all-inclusive option. It's worth paying a higher rate at the more modern Hotel Eugenia Victoria, which also has an excellent spa, though it's farther from the beach.
